World’s First Building Covered With Evergreen Trees to Be Build in Switzerland

A plan is on its way to build a 384ft(almost 117 meter) tall building in Lausanne, Switzerland. This apartment tower will be the first building in the world that will be completely covered by about 100 evergreen trees, 6000 shrubs and 18,000 plants.

The design of this 36 story building is created by an Italian architect Stefano Boeri. The building will be named “La Tour des Cedres” which means the Tower of Cedars and is the second project of Stefano( First was the 112m tall building in Milan).

The project includes plans for 36 private residences, offices and services. There will also be a gym and a rooftop restaurant.

“La Tour des Cedres” will be the first vertical evergreen forest in the world and will save the residents from dust, noise pollution and bad air.
